System Development Engineer, Amazon Mechatronics Sustainble Packaging (MSP)

Job Description

Amazon is seeking a Systems Development Engineer to help build customer and employee experiences, manage cloud-based infrastructure, and optimize business-critical applications.

Requirements

• 3+ years of professional software development experience
• Experience in designing or architecting new and existing systems
• 5+ years of administrative experience in networking, storage systems, operating systems
• Knowledge of systems engineering fundamentals
• Experience programming with modern languages such as C++, C#, Java, Python, Golang, PowerShell, Ruby
• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field

Responsibilities

• Building high-availability, resilient and fault-tolerant systems
• Scaling AWS infrastructure and services globally
• Improving network and data security
• Optimizing backup/disaster recovery systems and processes
• Maintaining and developing CDK (Cloud Development Kit)
• Implementing solutions for efficiency and cost optimization
• Supporting integration and migration of enterprise systems
• Maintaining and optimizing existing AWS infrastructure
• Supporting major corporate IT initiatives and engineering programs
