Hardware Test Engineer, Project Kuiper

Job Description

The Manufacturing Test Engineer at Project Kuiper is directly responsible for testing, qualifying, and troubleshooting integrated satellites for the Kuiper broadband internet network, utilizing innovative solutions and leading-edge technology.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, material science, physics, related field, or equivalent
• 3+ years of test experience with embedded systems, integrated systems, or flight hardware
• 3+ years of hands-on assembly and/or fabrication experience

Responsibilities

• Plan, develop, document, and execute test operations to validate satellite systems for flight to meet Kuiper production build rates
• Bring-up, test, and troubleshoot integrated satellite assemblies
• Lead acceptance and qualification test campaigns for development satellite system designs
• Analyze test failures to ensure defects are understood and provide design recommendations
• Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, and RF performance problems
• Specify, procure, and set up test cell layouts for the production floor
• Write technical specifications for system assembly and test from scratch
• Must be willing to work off shifts and weekends as required
