Staff Electronic Design Engineer

Job Description

Rivian is seeking a Staff Power Electronics Engineer to design and develop high-power electrical circuits for their Electric Adventure Vehicles.

Requirements

• Minimum M.S. in Electrical Engineering (Ph.D. preferred)
• 3 years' experience developing high power electronics
• Deep understanding of power semiconductor switches and diodes
• Experience designing and analyzing inverter and converter circuits
• Skilled working in lab environment with high voltage and current

Responsibilities

• Design and develop electrical aspect of on-board power electronic products
• Perform topology selection trade studies
• Analyze and simulate circuits and key components
• Interact with suppliers on critical components design
• Test prototype power electronics circuits in lab
• Support software engineers in developing algorithms for embedded controller
• Coach and provide guidance for junior level engineers
