Job Description

Rivian is seeking an Engineer for the Closures Design & Release Engineer role to work on sealing systems and components for various vehicle closures.

Requirements

• B.S. or higher in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
• 5+ years of experience within the automotive industry
• Experience leading complete sealing systems development effort
• Knowledge of automotive design and development process
• Working knowledge of regulatory and certification requirements
• Familiarity with manufacturing materials and processes in closures sealing design

Responsibilities

• Design and develop weather-strip and sealing systems for vehicle closures
• Manage component development process from concept through production
• Support supplier selection and development
• Engage in vehicle hardware and closures design reviews
• Mentor other less experienced engineers
• Champion good design practices in the body system
