Senior Electrical Engineer - Lighting & Lifestyle

Job Description

Milwaukee Tool is seeking a Sr. Electrical Project Engineer to manage multiple projects in the development of new and existing products, focusing on Lighting Systems.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering or similar field
• 5+ years of experience in a related design field
• Excellent problem-solving skills and a hands-on attitude
• Knowledge of power electronics, control systems, and LED Driver designs and topologies
• Broad-based experience with analog circuitry and embedded systems
• Basic understanding of Firmware development and programming best practices
• Good written and verbal communication skills
• High proficiency in Microsoft Office programs
• Ability to potentially travel 10% of the time

Responsibilities

• Work with cross-functional team to identify features, functions, and requirements for conceptual electronics systems
• Develop robust technical requirements and test methods for validation based on the voice of the customer
• Work with suppliers to create initial prototypes and concept models of electronics systems
• Be aware of new technologies relevant to the industry and implement them when feasible
• Draw concise, logical, written conclusions from experiments based on data analysis
• Serve as a role model for Milwaukee Tool's culture while mentoring junior Engineers
• Drive urgency in project schedules and accountability for achieving key project metrics
• Develop and maintain familiarity with Milwaukee's development and manufacturing processes
• Establish trusting relationships with engineers & suppliers worldwide
• Provide hands-on assistance with product development from initial concept to production
• Troubleshoot, perform Root Cause Analysis, and offer feasible solutions on projects under development
• Quickly identify tradeoffs and solutions to problems in a high-urgency environment
