Design Release Engineer, Exteriors

Job Description

Rivian is seeking a highly motivated mechanical design & release engineer to shape the physical design of electric vehicle systems.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Masters Degree in Mechanical Engineering
• 1-2 examples of Design Internship experience or similar
• Catia v5 / v6 operative skills, or similar CAD experience
• Hands-on experience in design through manufacturing/fabrication process
• Highly motivated with good logical reasoning
• Strong numeracy & literacy with good organizational & communication skills

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and release Exterior Components
• Use engineering fundamentals to expand knowledge in various manufacturing processes
• Work with the studio team to provide feedback and generate high-quality A-surfaces
• Communicate effectively with cross-functional groups
• Create different CAD concepts and work with cross-functional teams to solve problems
