Manufacturing Engineer II, Body (Closures DFM)

Job Description

Rivian is seeking a Manufacturing Engineering Manager to oversee the design and implementation of body assembly processes and equipment for Electric Adventure Vehicles.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or similar technical field
• 1-3+ years of experience in an engineering role related to automated manufacturing equipment and process
• Knowledgeable in high and low volume manufacturing skills and concepts
• Demonstrated ability to solve complex technical problems
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
• Experienced in working within 2D & 3D CAD environments

Responsibilities

• Manage the design and implementation of body assembly process, equipment, and production lines
• Work with product design team to ensure manufacturability
• Partner with production engineers and leaders for successful ramp and long-term production
• Provide regular project updates to management team
• Ensure achievement of safety, quality, cost, timing & throughput targets
• Follow industry standards and best practices in project implementation
