Staff Engineer, Charging and Energy

Job Description

Rivian is seeking a Charging Product Design Engineer to bring new charging products to life, focusing on improving usability and reliability.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in design and CAD for large products
• Experience working with sheet metal, casting, and injection molding
• Experience working in a fast-paced startup environment with high engineering rigor
• Proficiency in CATIA or other major CAD packages such as Fusion, Inventor, Creo, Solidedge, or SolidWorks

Responsibilities

• Take ideas from conceptualization through to production
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize product architecture
• Work with suppliers to ensure designs are made to specification and on time
• Design for Manufacture and create tolerance strategies
• Work on testing and validating designs from prototype to production
