Job Description

Provide operations leadership and improvement focus for warehouse operations including transportation and packaging operations.

Requirements

• Master's degree in Industrial or Mechanical Engineering, Supply Chain or Logistics Management, or related field and 3 years of experience as a Quality or Mechanical Engineer, Logistics or Operations Specialist, or related position
• Bachelor’s degree in Industrial or Mechanical Engineering, Supply Chain or Logistics Management, or related field and 5 years of experience as a Quality or Mechanical Engineer, Logistics or Operations Specialist, or related position

Responsibilities

• Manage multiple shifts of warehouse operations including transportation and packaging
• Lead annual operating plan, forecasts, and other measurements for Parts Distribution Center operations
• Develop supply chain capability and work with employees to set goals in training and development, performance, and career planning
• Lead continuous improvement projects aligned with Cummins Operating System and Functional Excellence direction
• Create supply chain processes and procedures by establishing collaborative business partner relationships
• Manage daily operations across functions to ensure a dependable and efficient supply chain
• Prepare and manage an annual operating plan including expense, resources, and capital
• Evaluate carrier performance and select appropriate transportation modes and equipment types
• Influence the flow of information, products, and services to achieve desired results for end customers
