Software Development Manager (EC2 Nitro), EC2 Nitro Deployments

Job Description

Amazon is looking for a Software Development Manager to lead the EC2 Nitro Deployment team and impact the safety and stability of the EC2 fleet.

Requirements

• 3+ years of engineering team management experience
• 7+ years of working directly within engineering teams experience
• 3+ years of designing or architecting systems experience
• 8+ years of leading the definition and development of multi-tier web services experience
• Knowledge of engineering practices and patterns for the full software/hardware/networks development life cycle
• Experience partnering with product or program management teams

Responsibilities

• Manage a team that develops software for EC2 infrastructure
• Develop a roadmap for strategic initiatives and continuous improvements
• Champion continuous improvements to testing coverage, diversity, and alarming
• Lead the team to schedule and manage contents for future and ongoing upgrades and releases
