Sr. Embedded Software Development Engineer, Kuiper Network Processor Platform Team

Job Description

Project Kuiper is an initiative to launch a constellation of Low Earth Orbit satellites that will provide low-latency, high-speed broadband internet connectivity to un-served and under-served communities around the world. The role involves architecting, developing, and testing communication systems payload software.

Requirements

• 5+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
• Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent

Responsibilities

• Drive the design, development, and operation of key functions for each satellite
• Own embedded software functions through design, implementation, test, and integration
• Write software to control silicon devices using proprietary and standard communication buses
• Work closely with hardware teams for board design, bring-up, and verification
• Follow best practices in high reliability embedded software development
• Debug low-level issues at the intersection of hardware/FPGA/firmware/software on multicore SOCs
