Security Engineer, Platform Security

Job Description

Amazon is looking for a Security Engineer with strong insight and passion for security to ensure infrastructure is designed and built to the highest standards.

Requirements

• 2+ year's experience in Application Security
• Advanced knowledge and understanding of security engineering, system and network security, authentication and security protocols, cryptography, or application security
• Experience reading and writing in at least one programming language
• BS degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, similar technology degrees or 5+ years' equivalent technology experience

Responsibilities

• Independently solve security problems that require novel methods or approaches
• Develop solutions to detect/prevent security issues at scale
• Development of scrappy security automation tools
• Influence team’s and partners’ process, priorities, and choices to improve outcomes
• Demonstrate and promote security best practices, drive improvements of Amazon’s overall security architecture
