Job Description

Senior Physical Security Engineer position at Amazon Web Services (AWS) focusing on designing and implementing security measures for high-security, cost-effective data center facilities.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in relevant engineering field or equivalent additional experience
• 10+ years of physical security design experience in a regulated industry
• 3+ years of physical security design experience in data center or similar mission critical projects
• 5+ years of Sensitive Compartmented Information Facility (SCIF) physical security design experience

Responsibilities

• Lead physical security designs and architecture elements for Amazon Dedicated Cloud (GovCloud) Data Centers projects
• Collaborate with other industrial security organizations within AWS to develop design standards
• Remain current on the latest physical security technologies and best practices
• Create and maintain a Physical Security Basis of Design, prototype design, and template specifications for physical security elements
• Review and direct the work of physical security engineering design consultants
• Manage multiple fast-paced projects simultaneously
