Systems Development Engineer, Tech Deploy- Systems Integration

Job Description

Amazon is seeking a Systems Development Engineer to be part of the Technology Deployment - Systems Integration team, responsible for developing and delivering world-class fulfillment systems through advanced technology.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent STEM field
• 2+ years of designing or architecting new and existing systems experience
• 4+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
• Experience working in an Agile environment using the Scrum methodology
• Unix/Linux experience and scripting abilities in Bash, Zsh, or similar
• Knowledge of professional software engineering & best practices for full software development life cycle
• Familiarity with control systems including PLC/IPC based controls design
• Experience in industrial networking and communications with TCP/IP and Fieldbus applications

Responsibilities

• Support installation of complex cross-functional projects with significant impact
• Contribute to project priorities, establish milestones, and drive schedules
• Participate in design reviews and support execution efforts between internal teams and outside vendors
• Communicate project status and answer project questions in detail
• Build strong working relationships with Fulfillment Center/Sort Center management
• Identify process improvement initiatives and develop cross-functional knowledge of Operations and Engineering team systems
• Collaborate with internal teams and external vendors to generate cost-effective solutions
