Mechanical Design Engineer, Data Center Design Engineering

Job Description

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field with at least 2 years of additional qualifying experience
• 3+ years of experience in design engineering or construction industry related to Mechanical systems
• Experience with Revit for producing Mechanical & Plumbing engineering BIM models
• Professional Engineering license and NCEES Record preferred
• Knowledge of local codes, ICC requirements, and Mechanical industry standards
• Experience with construction of data centers or large-scale mechanical systems
• Ability to read and understand construction documents for all trades
• Advanced knowledge of mechanical engineering systems

Responsibilities

• Work with internal teams to understand user requirements
• Create data center mechanical designs and construction document sets
• Collaborate with vendors, manufacturers, utilities, and agencies to define requirements
• Review and approve equipment submittals
• Define project scopes and provide technical support during construction phases
• Work on concurrent projects in multiple geographical regions
• Travel to sites for review, audits, and startup as needed
• Offer creative solutions and have fun in the role
