Constructability Engineer, Data Center Design Engineering

Job Description

AWS Infrastructure Services is seeking a Constructability Engineer to drive standards in the design and construction of data center infrastructure.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical/Electrical engineering or a Construction related discipline
• 5+ years in Construction delivery
• 5+ years of data center technical knowledge coupled with commissioning experience

Responsibilities

• Work closely with the Global Constructability team, Design Engineering, and Construction Management teams
• Drive practical constructability standards in design documentation
• Drive commissionability improvements in designs
• Drive process improvements in hand-off from design to construction/commissioning
• Optimize engineering input post design completion
• Act as the initial point of escalation for complex constructability issues
• 25% regional travel, sometimes unplanned
