Job Description

Amazon Devices is a research and development organization that designs consumer electronics such as Kindle, Amazon Echo, Fire tablets, Fire TV, Astro, Ring Doorbells, and Blink Cameras.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent
• 2+ years of threat modeling experience, secure coding, identity management, authentication, software development, cryptography, system administration, or network security
• Knowledge of networking protocols such as HTTP, DNS, and TCP/IP
• Knowledge of system security vulnerabilities and remediation techniques
• Security code review experience in C
• Experience with programming languages like Python, Java, C++
• Knowledge of Android OS internals, wireless connectivity protocols, and hardware security mechanisms

Responsibilities

• Guide software development lifecycle of devices at Amazon
• Analyze security of platform components of consumer devices
• Propose, research, and develop tools to improve security posture
• Provide technical security expertise to device product teams
• Identify security risks and create mitigations
• Develop new security policies and procedures
• Empower others to improve security acumen
