ADC Engineer, Controls Fleet

Job Description

The Controls Fleet team at Amazon Web Services is seeking a passionate and motivated engineer experienced in managing Windows and Linux environments to build and maintain highly-available systems and services at massive scale.

Requirements

• Associate's degree, or Cloud+ or GICSP (Global Industrial Cyber Security Professional) or GSEC (GIAC Security Essentials) or SSCP (Systems Security Certified Practitioner)
• 2+ years for Windows systems engineering with emphasis on scripting/coding
• Current, active US Government Security Clearance of Top Secret with SCI eligibility or above

Responsibilities

• Deploy, manage, and support large-scale Windows and Linux environments, including virtualization platforms and networking components
• Create and maintain automation solutions using PowerShell, Python, or Bash, focusing on scalable deployment processes and infrastructure management
• Architect and implement secure, scalable solutions while considering system interdependencies and limitations
• Analyze complex technical issues and develop effective solutions through root cause analysis
• Create and maintain technical documentation, develop training materials, and support team knowledge sharing
• Work effectively with partner teams, provide technical consultation, and support cross-functional projects
• Identify security risks, develop mitigation plans, and participate in compliance efforts
• Available for 24/7 on-call rotation and up to 20% travel
