Test Engineer, Avionics

Job Description

Amazon is looking for an electrical test engineer to join the Project Kuiper team, working on designing and testing satellite systems for global broadband connectivity.

Requirements

• BS degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or equivalent
• Experience with lab equipment like spectrum analyzers, signal generators, electronic loads, power supplies, network analyzers, high-speed oscilloscopes, etc.
• 3+ years testing with SoCs, DRAMs, FPGAs, multi-gigabit interfaces, power converters, sensors, operational amplifiers, and ADCs/DACs,
• Experience with schematic and layout ECAD tools
• Experience with complex board designs including high-speed interconnects, avionics, vehicle control systems, and motor & actuator control electronics
• Experience with debugging designs with microprocessors, FPGAs, power supplies, and sensors

Responsibilities

• Define test strategy and requirements in collaboration with hardware and software development teams
• Lead design verification test, qualification, reliability, and production test campaigns for avionics subsystems
• Support test engineering team through test system architecture, equipment selection, PCB design, harness design, and test system integration
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including electrical engineering, RF engineering, mechanical engineering, software, reliability, manufacturing, program management, etc.
