Engineering Operations Technician , DCEO

Job Description

AWS Infrastructure Services is seeking talented individuals to join a diverse team of engineers and specialists to support and maintain AWS global infrastructure.

Requirements

• Technical (Military/Trade School) training or equivalent experience in a relevant industry
• 1+ years of electrical or mechanical experience
• 1+ years' experience with Microsoft Office products (including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint)

Responsibilities

• Daily building rounds to monitor and record information from electrical, mechanical, and fire/life safety equipment
• Assist in troubleshooting facility and rack-level events
• Perform rack installs and decommissioning within internal SLA
• Perform PM, troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and repair of electrical and mechanical equipment
• Technical writing to support change management program
• Monitor daily work requests, manage resolution, and execute projects from conception to completion
• On-site support of contractors, sub-contractors, and vendors
• Work schedule changes depending on specific site needs, with shifts up to 12 hours and on-call rotations in some locations
• Support more than one location/site
