Job Description

Amazon Web Services (AWS) is seeking talented individuals to join their team as EOTs (Electrical and Mechanical Equipment Operations Technicians). This role involves driving innovation, reducing operational costs, and ensuring the uptime of critical infrastructure equipment within data centers.

Requirements

• 1+ years of electrical or mechanical, or 1+ years of data center or mission critical facilities experience
• High school diploma or equivalent

Responsibilities

• Drive innovation and reduce operational costs in the facilities
• Assist in troubleshooting facility and rack-level events within SLAs
• Perform rack installs, decommissioning, operational readings, and facility management
• Provide key performance indicators to senior engineers
• Manage contractors, sub-contractors, and vendors on-site
• Oversee maintenance and operations of electrical, mechanical, and fire/life safety equipment
• Ensure adherence to safety procedures
• Perform basic support tasks like ticketing systems, root cause analysis, and change management
• Maintain data center critical infrastructure equipment for 99.999% uptime
• Support multiple locations/sites
• Walk job sites in uneven terrain and perform construction tasks
• Physically handle equipment and participate in group lifts
• Perform various physical tasks like walking, bending, climbing, etc.
