Design & Source Quality Manager, Amazon Prime Air Quality

Job Description

Prime Air is seeking an experienced and highly skilled manager to oversee the Design and Source Quality team supporting Prime Air's fleet of delivery drones. The role involves leading Hardware/Software Quality and Design Assurance engineering initiatives for certifying highly complex products and developing supplier quality engagement strategies.

Requirements

• Bachelor's of Science Degree in Engineering or other STEM field
• 3+ years management experience
• 5+ years experience with high volume manufacturing of complex products
• 5+ years work experience in Supplier Quality, Manufacturing Quality, and/or Software Quality
• Experience in product development lifecycle processes in electronic, consumer, or aerospace industry

Responsibilities

• Lead Hardware/Software Quality and Design Assurance engineering initiatives
• Develop supplier quality engagement strategies
• Facilitate product design and associated processes through DFMEAs, PFMEAs, Control Plans, FAIs, etc.
• Engage in Corrective Actions, improvement, and design change opportunities
• Collaborate with internal teams and external vendors to generate safe, high quality, cost-effective products
• Implement material and product compliance strategy in the area of hazardous substances and material safety
