Data Center Facility Manager, Data Center Engineering Operations (DCEO)

Job Description

The AWS Infrastructure Services team is looking for a talented Data Center Facility Manager to oversee critical physical infrastructure and ensure high availability and performance of data center operations.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 2+ years experience in a management position with 5 or more direct reports
• 2+ years of relevant work experience in a data center or other mission critical environment
• Strong understanding of UPS, Generators, HVAC, and other critical infrastructure

Responsibilities

• Oversee all aspects of the data center’s critical physical infrastructure
• Manage on-site teams of technicians, sub-contractors, and vendors
• Drive safety and security culture within the team
• Manage operations budget and expenditures
• Engage in improvement projects and drive them to completion
• Act as an escalation point for facilities-related issues
• Utilize root cause analysis and troubleshooting skills
• Respond to out-of-hours emergency calls
• Assist in the build out of new facilities and projects to increase efficiency
