Data Center Facility Operations Manager, DCC Communities

Job Description

The Data Center Facility Manager will oversee operations and management of technicians responsible for critical systems in Amazon data centers.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 4+ years experience in a management position with 5 or more direct reports
• 5+ years relevant work experience in a data center or other mission critical environment OR 7+ years of Technical training/experience

Responsibilities

• Oversee all aspects of the data center’s critical physical infrastructure
• Manage on-site teams ensuring work is done in accordance with safety protocols
• Drive safety and security culture within the team
• Engage in improvement projects and drive them from conception to completion
• Act as an escalation point for facilities-related issues
• Utilize root cause analysis and troubleshooting skills
• Respond to out-of-hours emergency calls
• Support more than one location/site
• Assist in the build out of new facilities and projects to increase current facility efficiency
