Job Description

The Data Center Facility Manager position at Amazon involves overseeing all aspects of the data center's critical physical infrastructure to maintain high availability and performance, while ensuring work is done to high standards without impacting customers.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 4+ years in a management position with 5 or more direct reports
• 5+ years of relevant work experience in a data center or other mission-critical environment OR 7+ years of Technical (Military/Trade School) training/experience

Responsibilities

• Oversee all aspects of the data center's critical physical infrastructure
• Manage on-site teams, sub-contractors, and vendors
• Drive safety and security culture and compliance
• Hire, coach, and promote team members
• Effectively manage operations budget
• Engage in improvement projects and drive them to completion
• Act as an escalation point for facilities-related issues
• Utilize root cause analysis and troubleshooting skills
• Respond to out-of-hours emergency calls
• Assist in the build-out of new facilities and projects to increase current facility efficiency
