Data Center Engineering Operations Technician, Night Shift

Job Description

Requirements

• Technical (Military/Trade School) training or 2+ years' equivalent experience in electrical or mechanical industry
• 2+ years of electrical or mechanical experience
• 2+ years' experience with Microsoft Office products

Responsibilities

• Drive innovation while reducing operational costs in the facilities
• Assist in troubleshooting facility and rack-level events
• Perform rack installs, decommissioning, operational readings, and facility management
• Provide key performance indicators to senior engineers
• Responsible for on-site management of contractors, sub-contractors, and vendors
• Maintenance and operations oversight on all electrical, mechanical, and fire/life safety equipment
• Ensure safety procedures are adhered to while performing work
• Perform tasks such as ticketing systems, root cause analysis, change management creation, etc.
• Maintain data center critical infrastructure equipment ensuring 99.999% uptime
• Support more than one location/site
• Walk job sites in uneven terrain and perform construction tasks
• Lift and move up to 39 pounds unassisted and participate in group lifts for 40+ pounds
• Regularly walk, use hands and fingers, handle or feel, reach, stoop, kneel, climb stairs, etc.
