Data Center Engineering Operations Technician

Job Description

AWS Infrastructure Services (AIS) is responsible for the design, planning, delivery, and operation of all AWS global infrastructure, ensuring continual access to innovation for customers.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 1+ years of electrical or mechanical experience
• Technical training or relevant experience in a mission-critical infrastructure
• Experience with Microsoft Office products

Responsibilities

• Assist in troubleshooting facility and rack-level events
• Perform rack installs, decommissioning, and operational readings
• Provide key performance indicators to senior engineers
• Manage contractors, sub-contractors, and vendors on-site
• Monitor performance of maintenance on critical infrastructure equipment
• Ensure safety procedures are adhered to while performing work
• Support basic concepts such as ticketing systems and root cause analysis
• Participate in on-call rotations and varying work schedules
• Maintain data center critical infrastructure equipment for uptime
• Walk job sites in uneven terrain and perform construction tasks
