Data Center Facility Operations Manager

Job Description

The Data Center Facility Manager position at Amazon involves overseeing critical physical infrastructure in some of the world's most advanced data centers to ensure high availability and performance.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 4+ years of management experience with 5 or more direct reports
• 5+ years of relevant work experience in a data center or mission critical environment OR 7+ years of technical training/experience
• Advanced electrical or mechanical certifications preferred

Responsibilities

• Oversee all aspects of the data center's critical physical infrastructure
• Manage on-site teams of technicians, sub-contractors, and vendors
• Promote safety and security culture within the team
• Manage operations budget and expenditures efficiently
• Engage in improvement projects and drive them from conception to completion
• Act as an escalation point for facilities-related issues
• Utilize root cause analysis and troubleshooting skills
• Respond to out-of-hours emergency calls
• Support more than one location/site
• Assist in the build-out of new facilities and projects to increase facility efficiency
