Night Shift Engineering Operations Technician

Job Description

AWS Infrastructure Services is seeking talented individuals to join the team responsible for designing, planning, delivering, and operating all AWS global infrastructure, supporting data centers and ensuring continuous access to innovation.

Requirements

• Technical (Military/Trade School) training or 1+ years of electrical or mechanical, HVAC, fire system experience in a mission-critical infrastructure or equivalent experience in a relevant industry
• 1+ years of electrical or mechanical experience
• 1+ years’ experience with Microsoft Office products (including Excel, Word and PowerPoint)
• High school or equivalent diploma

Responsibilities

• Performing daily building rounds to monitor and record information from electrical, mechanical, and fire/life safety equipment
• Monitoring Building Management Systems (BMS) and Electrical Power Management System (EPMS)
• Assisting in troubleshooting facility and rack-level events
• Performing rack installs, decommissioning, PM, troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and repair of equipment
• Technical writing to support change management program
• Monitoring daily work requests, managing to resolution, and executing projects
• Providing on-site support for contractors, sub-contractors, and vendors
• Adhering to work schedule changes and physical requirements
