Job Description

Amazon Web Services is seeking a Mechanical Engineering Manager to lead the Central Regions mechanical design group and become part of a global engineering team, responsible for the design and continuous innovation of rapidly expanding data center footprints.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a field related to Mechanical or an equivalent engineering degree in a related field with at least 5 years additional qualifying experience
• Minimum of 5 years managing a team of engineers
• Cumulative 10+ years of experience in design engineering or the construction industry related to all aspects of Mechanical

Responsibilities

• Oversee project-related work for cooling, heating, and plumbing systems in AWS data centers
• Coordinate Mechanical system space requirements, supporting utilities, and equipment locations
• Review mechanical and plumbing drawings to ensure code requirements are met
• Serve as the point of escalation for technical mechanical and plumbing systems
• Work with internal and external stakeholders for design, construction, and maintenance of data centers
