Data Center Facility Operations Manager

Job Description

Join AWS as a Data Center Facility Manager to oversee operations and management of critical infrastructure systems while working in one of the world's most sophisticated data centers.

Requirements

• High school or equivalent diploma
• 4+ years of experience in a management position with 5 or more direct reports
• 5+ years of relevant work experience in a data center or other mission critical environment OR 7+ years of Technical (Military/Trade School) training and/or experience

Responsibilities

• Oversee all aspects of the data center’s critical physical infrastructure
• Manage on-site teams ensuring work is in accordance with established practices and safety protocols
• Drive safety and security culture and compliance within the team
• Hire, coach, and promote team members
• Engage in improvement projects and drive them from conception to completion
• Act as an escalation point for all facilities-related issues
• Utilize root cause analysis and troubleshooting/problem-solving skills
• Respond to out-of-hours emergency calls
• May assist in the build-out of new facilities and projects to increase current facility efficiency
