Quality Receiving Supervisor, Project Kuiper

Job Description

The Kuiper Quality team at Project Kuiper is seeking an experienced Quality Operations Manager to lead a team of Quality professionals to support quality capabilities and achieve goals in delivering fast, reliable internet to customers worldwide.

Requirements

• 2+ years Direct Management of Quality Inspection and/or Manufacturing personnel in Aerospace or Automotive manufacturing
• 4+ years’ experience with inspection/assembly processes within aviation, aerospace electronics, wiring harnesses, machined parts, coatings, and other common product types
• 2+ years’ Quality experience in an R&D environment
• Experience with ISO 9001 / AS9100 requirements
• 2+ years managing inspection teams within an R&D manufacturing and design environment

Responsibilities

• Oversee and provide daily direction and management to quality inspectors
• Develop and implement training plan for incoming quality inspectors
• Lead Lean and 5S activities to drive efficiency within the Quality Inspection Center
• Lead Root Cause Corrective Action investigations
• Participate in Material Review Board activities
• Ensure compliance to regulatory and business requirements
• Provide guidance for QMS enhancements and development improvements
• Lead strategic efforts for inspection capabilities setup/transfer within new manufacturing centers
• Determine priority inspection activities, coach and mentor inspectors, promote quality control, develop Lean principles, and coordinate with stakeholders
