Night Shift Engineering Operations Technician

Job Description

The AWS Infrastructure Services team is looking for talented individuals to join their diverse team of engineers, specialists, and managers in maintaining and operating critical infrastructure systems for AWS global infrastructure.

Requirements

• Technical (Military/Trade School) training or 1+ years of electrical or mechanical, HVAC, fire system experience in a mission-critical infrastructure or equivalent experience in a relevant industry
• 1+ years of electrical or mechanical experience
• 1+ years’ experience with Microsoft Office products (including Excel, Word and PowerPoint)
• High school or equivalent diploma

Responsibilities

• Performing daily building rounds to monitor and record information from electrical, mechanical, and fire/life safety equipment
• Monitoring Building Management Systems (BMS) and Electrical Power Management System (EPMS)
• Assisting in troubleshooting of facility and rack-level events
• Performing rack installs and decommissioning
• Performing PM, troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and repair of electrical and mechanical equipment
• Monitoring daily work requests, managing to resolution, and executing projects from conception to completion
• On-site support of contractors, sub-contractors, and vendors
• Adhering to established practices, procedures, and local legislation
• Working in shifts up to 12-hours with on-call rotations
• Supporting more than one location/site
