Senior Software Development Engineer, Ring Data Science and Engineering

Job Description

Ring is seeking a self-directed Senior Software Development Engineer to design, implement, and support cloud-based data processing systems.

Requirements

• 7+ years of programming with at least one software programming language experience
• 7+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
• 5+ years of leading design or architecture of new and existing systems experience
• Experience as a mentor, tech lead, or leading an engineering team
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Responsibilities

• Lead large projects and optimize data infrastructure across services and technologies
• Design and create reliable, distributed data pipelines and storage techniques
• Build intuitive data products for stakeholders
• Partner with engineering teams, analysts, and business partners to achieve team goals
• Support Data Science projects and operationalize products
• Ensure hygiene and quality of code and pipelines
• Define KPIs and maintain company SLAs
• Provide leadership for operational excellence
