Security Engineer II, Threat Hunting, Security Incident Response Team (SIRT)

Job Description

Amazon’s Threat Hunting team is looking for a Security Engineer, Threat Hunting to proactively identify and eliminate threats at petabyte scale.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a relevant field
• 3+ years of threat modeling, secure coding, identity management, software development, cryptography, system administration, or network security experience
• 2+ years of programming experience in Python, Ruby, Go, Swift, Java, .Net, C++, or similar languages
• Knowledge of system security vulnerabilities and remediation techniques

Responsibilities

• Query and collate machine data to search for evidence of threat activities
• Work with incident responders to investigate security issues
• Reconstruct security events from log data
• Build custom capabilities to uncover threats at scale
• Participate in on-call rotation and provide support during non-business hours
