Sr. Software Development Engineer - Systems Performance, Kuiper Ground Software & Analytics

Job Description

Project Kuiper is seeking a Software Development Engineer focused on Systems Performance to help scale a global low-latency, high-speed broadband connectivity service using Low Earth Orbit satellites.

Requirements

• 5+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
• 5+ years of programming with at least one software programming language experience
• 5+ years of leading design or architecture of new and existing systems experience
• Experience as a mentor, tech lead, or leading an engineering team

Responsibilities

• Develop and deploy state-of-the-art antenna calibration algorithms
• Efficiently optimize performance of developed algorithms
• Develop system-level simulations and support scaled infrastructure on AWS
• Work with applied scientists/engineers to implement machine-learned anomaly detection tools and predictive maintenance workflows
• Own the full software development lifecycle for applications built
