Job Description

Design the next generation of fulfillment centers for Amazon's global supply chain in a dynamic team at the Sonic office in Bellevue.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field, or 5+ years Amazon experience
• 5+ years of working in Design/Innovation Engineering, Operations/Manufacturing/Process/Industrial Engineering, or related field
• Experience with complex automated material handling equipment, packaging technologies, robotics, and high-speed manufacturing
• Proficiency using business/technical software like MS Excel, MS Project, and CAD software
• Ability to travel 20% globally

Responsibilities

• Lead architectural and mechanical design of fulfillment center systems
• Create detailed design specifications and documentation for automated material handling equipment
• Own multiple concurrent projects and drive design reviews
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and suppliers to develop innovative solutions
• Identify opportunities for standardization and continuous improvement
• Ensure all designs meet building codes, safety regulations, and Amazon standards
