Sr Development Engineer - Robotic Cloud Operations, Amazon Robotics Firmware Team

Job Description

Create and maintain cloud-based services supporting real-time, robotic, and safety systems at Amazon Robotics.

Requirements

• 5+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
• Experience leading design or architecture of new and existing systems
• 3+ years of cloud engineering or systems architecture experience
• Strong programming experience in Python, TypeScript, or similar languages
• Experience with AWS services such as IoT Core, Lambda, EC2, and ECS/EKS
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field

Responsibilities

• Design and implement cloud-native architectures for robot fleet management, telemetry, and remote operations
• Create and optimize cloud-based solutions for real-time robot data processing and analytics
• Develop and maintain AWS infrastructure using CDK/CloudFormation for robotics operations platforms
• Implement IoT device management and communication systems using AWS IoT Core
• Participate in designing and implementing cloud-based control and monitoring systems for robotics teams
• Mentor team members on cloud architecture best practices and AWS services
