Sr Security Engineer - Semiconductor, Devices and Services Security

Job Description

Project Kuiper is seeking a Security Engineer to find security issues in chips and low-level software enabling satellite broadband telecom service.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, a related field
• Strong experience with threat modeling or other risk identification techniques
• Knowledge of hardware security mechanisms, including secure boot, trusted execution environments
• Knowledge of operating system internals, with emphasis on Linux and common RTOS environments
• Semiconductor reverse engineering

Responsibilities

• Guide secure development of devices at Amazon, from security design to code reviews and security testing
• Propose, research, and develop tools to improve device security at scale
• Provide technical security expertise to device product teams
• Identify security risks and work on mitigations
• Develop new security policies and procedures
• Participate in projects developing new intellectual property
