Job Description

Amazon Robotics is seeking an Optical Engineer to develop innovative designs for robotic systems and enhance customer experience.

Requirements

• BS in Optical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
• Experience developing products from concept to scaled production
• Thorough understanding of principals, theories and concepts in Optical engineering
• Ability to effectively communicate concepts and write technical documents
• Experience in developing functional specifications and design verification plans

Responsibilities

• Executing robotic vision system product designs from concept to production
• Partnering with cross-functional teams for automation solutions
• Creating design of experiments and leading cross-functional automation of experiments
• Developing component specification and design reviews
• Collaborating with vendors to manufacture parts and validate results
