Sr. Ground Terminal Technical Ops Engineer, Kuiper Ground Systems

Job Description

Project Kuiper is looking for a Satellite Ground Technical Operations Engineer to join their ground gateway terminal operations team, ensuring high performance ground gateways for their satellite constellation.

Requirements

• 5+ years experience in satellite communications ground systems and operations
• 3+ years of experience in design and commission of radio/mobile telecommunications/RAN installations or SATCOM earth stations
• 2+ years of network integration experience in troubleshooting and on-site support
• Bachelor's Degree in RF, Aerospace, or other technical discipline or equivalent experience

Responsibilities

• Address and remediate antenna faults, alarms, and anomalies
• Perform on-site fault analysis and troubleshooting of gateway antennas
• Maintain and/or update antenna calibrations as necessary
• Perform software updates/upgrades of antenna components
• Manage tactical interactions with partners to ensure milestones, deliverables, and technical artifacts are technically compliant with project objectives and programmatic requirements
• Work with stakeholder teams to maintain operational terminals in sync with organizational goals
• Develop team training plans and materials
• Communicate regularly with senior management on status, risks and change control
• Focus on efforts in the AMER region
