Support Engineer - Hardware, WWOS Global Physical Security (GPS)

Job Description

The Amazon Worldwide Operations Security (WWOS) Global Physical Security team is seeking an experienced Physical Security Hardware Engineer to join their team and support hardware initiatives.

Requirements

• 4+ years of experience working with, deploying, or supporting Physical Security projects and/or infrastructure
• 4+ years of experience in technical support with a focus on hardware
• Experience troubleshooting and debugging technical systems
• Experience driving collaborative projects from conception to delivery
• High School Diploma or equivalent

Responsibilities

• Test and qualify new and existing security devices against various Video Management Systems (VMS) and Access Control systems
• Coordinate with vendors and internal teams for necessary equipment, software, and licensing
• Collaborate with engineering teams to identify and resolve issues during testing
• Provide technical support to internal teams and customers
• Implement and integrate solutions with existing physical security systems
• Mentor and train junior team members
• Monitor and optimize solutions for reliability, scalability, and compliance
• Create and maintain documentation for hardware engineering processes
