Electrical Engineer, Data Center, Colocation Regional Engineering (CRE)

Job Description

AWS Infrastructure Services is seeking an engineer with a passion for data center design to join their team. The role involves collaborating with various teams to assess and select colocation facilities that meet business requirements.

Requirements

• Engineering degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or related discipline, or 6 years commensurate industry or military experience
• 3+ years of focused experience in Data Center or Carrier-class Telecommunications design, engineering, and/or operations and maintenance

Responsibilities

• Conduct site assessments against AWS standards for collocation data centers
• Review vendor critical infrastructure designs and perform risk analysis
• Troubleshoot and create corrective action documentation for site/equipment failures
• Lead design for existing data center upgrades and solutions
• Interface with internal teams to maintain consistency and reliability in services delivered
