Sr. System Development Engineer, Solid State Drives Team

Job Description

Join the AWS Hardware Engineering team to lead automation capabilities in the Solid-State Drive team and make a direct impact on AWS Storage platforms.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field
• 3+ years of programming experience with languages like C++, Java, Python, etc.
• Experience in systems design, software development, operations, automation, and process improvement
• Experience leading the design and deployment of software solutions in production
• 7+ years of administrative experience in networking, storage systems, and operating systems
• Strong coding skills and experience with server validation and testing

Responsibilities

• Lead ideation, design, and implementation of new automation capabilities in the Solid-State Drive team
• Work with engineers across the company to deliver next-generation AWS Storage platforms
• Develop automation to improve SSD components' quality in NPI servers and fleet servers
• Implement software best practices, author requirement documents, and publish design docs
• Build diagnostic tools for continuous monitoring and contribute to the improvement of AWS systems
