Job Description

Amazon Lab126 is seeking a Hardware Safety Compliance Engineer to ensure products meet safety standards and regulations while shaping industry standards and fostering a culture of safety within the organization.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, physics, computer science, or similar technical discipline
• 5+ years of experience in hardware development or compliance
• Experience handling product compliance and obtaining certifications
• Knowledge of U.S. and international product safety standards
• Experience working with third-party labs and contract manufacturers
• Strong analytical skills
• Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills

Responsibilities

• Drive a standardized approach to Safety Compliance across Amazon’s suite of products
• Communicate technical safety and compliance requirements to design teams
• Engage with senior Amazon leaders on compliance-related topics
• Oversee hardware compliance for devices when required
• Stay abreast of industry activities by participating in relevant committees and organizations
