Principal Innovation and Design Engineer, Worldwide Design Engineering

Job Description

Seeking an innovative leader to design world-class fulfillment centers and logistics systems globally, with a focus on automated material handling equipment and robotics.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field, or 5+ years Amazon experience
• 10+ years in Design/Innovation Engineering, Manufacturing/Process/Industrial Engineering, or related
• Experience with business/technical software like MS Excel, MS Project, and CAD software
• Written and verbal communication experience to senior leadership levels

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with internal and external teams to design high quality, cost-effective solutions for fulfillment and distribution systems
• Own multiple projects from concept realization through design approval
• Work on strategic initiatives to drive the next generation of system design for the fulfillment network
• Support Ops Engineering team in overseeing installation and commissioning of projects
