Security Engineer II, Alexa and Fire TV Security

Job Description

The role involves providing guidance to the Fire TV business and engineering teams on data protection, participating in feature and product designs, and developing detection tools for early risk discovery.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent
• 3+ years of programming experience in Python, Ruby, Go, Swift, Java, .Net, C++ or similar languages
• 2+ years of experience in threat modeling, secure coding, identity management, authentication, cryptography, system administration, or network security

Responsibilities

• Develop relationships with business teams to understand products, risks, and mitigations
• Review application architectures and security controls in code and cloud configurations
• Assist in developing automated detection software for pre-launch and post-launch risks
• Gather metrics on the effectiveness of security work
