Security Engineer I, Security Incident Response Team (SIRT)

Job Description

Amazon is seeking qualified Security Engineers to join their innovative Information Security team to respond to security events, conduct analysis of threats, and provide security services to safeguard sensitive data.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent
• 1+ years of industry experience working in a Security Incident Response Team
• Experience with security monitoring, log analysis, and forensic tools
• Experience scripting with Python, Perl, Bash, or PowerShell
• Knowledge of networking protocols such as HTTP, DNS, and TCP/IP

Responsibilities

• Responding to security incidents and coordinating responses across teams
• Providing security engineering solutions and support during incidents
• Assisting in the development of solutions to improve incident response capabilities
• Mentoring Information Security engineers to improve security
• Staying current with security trends and threat landscape
