Job Description

The Amazon Web Services (AWS) Hardware Engineering team is seeking an innovative and hands-on leader to build and lead software teams developing large-scale telemetry and real-time monitoring systems using AWS public cloud services.

Requirements

• 5+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
• Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent
• Experience leading design or architecture of new systems
• Experience with AWS services like CloudWatch, Kinesis, DynamoDB
• Experience building and operating distributed systems
• Experience with telemetry, observability, and monitoring of cloud services

Responsibilities

• Lead a team building large-scale monitoring and real-time telemetry systems
• Design and build automation, tooling, and data analytics solutions
• Operate scalable storage solutions and associated operational infrastructure
• Collaborate with other AWS software teams to tailor storage solutions for the AWS environment
• Work backward from customer input to build and drive product roadmap
• Innovate on architecture, feature design, and operational excellence
• Mentor and grow the organization to deliver the product roadmap
