Quality Control Engineer, Integrated Project Quality (IPQ)

Job Description

The Quality Control Engineer plays a key role in overseeing and executing quality assurance and control processes throughout data center construction projects for AWS.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, or related field) or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of experience in quality control, construction management, or related field, preferably in data center or critical infrastructure projects.
• Strong understanding of construction processes, mechanical and electrical systems, and quality control methodologies.
• Knowledge of industry standards and best practices related to construction quality control.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders.
• Willingness to travel up to 75% of the time to various project sites across North and South America.

Responsibilities

• Lead the implementation of QAQC processes throughout data center construction projects.
• Develop and maintain quality control plans, inspection checklists, and relevant documentation.
• Conduct onsite QAQC inspections for installation activities.
• Monitor and report on quality metrics and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
• Identify, document, and track quality defects or non-conformances.
• Facilitate knowledge transfer to end customers on QAQC processes.
